Non-Communicable Diseases Research Center

Message from the Center Director

The Non-Communicable Diseases Research Center, committed to enhancing public health, is recognized as one of the country's leading research institutions, serving as a bridge between scientific research and policy implementation in the health system. By focusing on the assessment and analysis of non-communicable diseases and their related risk factors, the center strives to provide scientific and comprehensive solutions to the complex challenges of the health system at both national and regional levels.

Given the rapid changes in disease patterns, particularly non-communicable diseases, and the growing population needs, the health system faces new challenges. Therefore, the need for applied research and evidence-based interventions is felt more than ever before. Utilizing up-to-date and reliable population data, advanced modeling, and intervention effectiveness assessments, the Non-Communicable Diseases Research Center aims to bridge the gap between research and the implementation of effective health interventions in society.

We believe that the synergy of knowledge and expertise is key to achieving the center's long-term goals. Collaborating with universities, national and international research centers, and implementing innovative projects has enabled us to provide the scientific evidence needed for health policy-making. Therefore, we invite interested researchers from various fields, including medicine, epidemiology, statistics, health economics, policy-making, and more, to collaborate with the center and contribute effectively to public health improvement.

Dr. Samaneh Akbarpour
